“ODE” is a piece of furniture made of Cor-ten steel, which can be used as a paperweight or an ornament.
“ODE” was born from the reinterpretation of a geometric figure, the dodecahedron, which is composed of 30 edges, 20 vertices and 12 faces. The development of the figure was drawn on a single sheet of metal, which was then, like origami, folded and pointed, until the final profile was achieved. The object is made of Cor-Ten steel, a very special material that is defined as a material paradox: its main characteristic is its excellent resistance to corrosion by atmospheric agents, which it creates by spontaneously forming a protective patina that does not change, thus stopping its natural oxidation. Every imperfection is considered a value, which guarantees the uniqueness of this handmade piece.
